July Rural Sales
JULY RURAL SALES NEAR NELSON AND CASTLEGAR CONTINUE UP TREND
Our June numbers are in, and our mid-stream July numbers still show moderate growth in sales volume for residential properties in Rural areas around Nelson and Castlegar over last year.
June saw sales of 168 rural residential units (includes single family homes, with and without acreage located around, but not in, Nelson and Castlegar) a moderate bump from 163 in 2012.
In July the growth was even stronger with 181 units this year, compared with 161 units last year, an improvement of roughly 12%. The final numbers for July won't be available untill about the middle of August (there may still be conditional contracts that will add to these sales numbers once the subject conditions have been removed) but the trend is certainly positive.
